Controlled Cold Therapy & Compression
The gravity cooler system combines the therapeutic benefits of controlled compression with cold therapy to minimize hemarthrosis, edema hematoma, swelling, and pain. The cryo cuff system consists of three components: a cuff that covers the affected area, a cooler that holds ice and water for 6-8 hours of CryoTherapy, and a tube that exchanges water between the cooler and the cuff. The cuffs are anatomically designed to completely fit the body providing maximum cryotherapy.
Reduces Pain, Swelling, & Hemathrosis
The cryo cuff system features a 30-second cycle that provides automatic intermittent cold therapy and compression. Compression is controlled by gravity and is proportional to the elevation of the cooler (one inch of elevation equals 1.8mm Hg pressure). The optimal amount of compression varies among individuals and the sensitivity of the injury. The motorized cold therapy system is indicated for trauma, postoperative treatment, inflammation, chronic pain, and recurrent joint swelling.
Indicated for Postoperative Treatment
Simplicity of design and ease of operation makes it ideal for postoperative recovery, athletic training, and home use. An integrated pneumatic pump within the cooler lid provides the automated compression and cold therapy. Available in a myriad of cuffs, patients can choose between back, hips, and ribs, hands/wrists, ankles/feet, knees, or elbows.
