Designed for post-op protection and recovery, Darco MedSurg Shoe is a strapless forefoot closure eliminating buckle pressure on the forefoot. After foot surgery or when K-wires are present, the shoe can accommodate dressings up to 17” in circumference. Shoes are unisex, available in different sizes ranging from small to x-large.
Provides Protection with Square Toe Design
The square toe design acts as a bumper to provide extra protection and facilitates a more secure fit on either the right or left foot. The shoes are sold individually, not as a pair. The MetaShank protection provides more rigid control under the metatarsal heads. The adjustable strap around the front of the ankle prevents the product from slipping off the heel. The strap also allows for extra room when bandages or other bulky compression garments are being worn. Can be used in conjunction with Lymphedema bandaging.
Compatible with Darco’s PegAssist
The Rocker insole helps reduce plantar pressure on the heel and forefoot by over 25%. Double-padded and removable, the Rocker insole can be replaced with the fully compatible DARCOs Peg Assist. The off-loading insole with removable pegs can be modified to eliminate pressure under the surgery site or where wounds and ulcerations are present. The reduced-friction tread at the toe and heel of the shoe helps minimize the risk of tripping.
